Veneers are hand-crafted shells of dental porcelain that sit over the front surface of an existing tooth or teeth.
Designed to cover a multitude of imperfections they can transform a smile in an instant.
Our dental veneers use only the finest zirconia, picked for its translucency and natural beauty and durability.
Using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided milling (CAM) technology, we work to create a long-lasting and durable restoration that blends in effortlessly to enhance your smile. With our dental veneers, teeth can be made to look…
Straighter
More even in size and length; and
Blemish or gap-free
In fact, whatever your current dental concerns we can help you to get the beautiful, confidence-boosting smile you deserve.
This is how we place our zirconia veneers at our New Life Teeth dental centres
During a smile consultation, our cosmetic dentist will assess your needs and create a bespoke treatment plan. We may also use the latest Digital Smile Design technology so you can see how your smile will look virtually once completed.
On some occasions, the teeth may have to be prepared for each dental veneer to sit flush within your smile. This involves gently removing a thin layer of tooth enamel and is a comfortable process.
The next step is to take digital impressions of your teeth These are scanned through to our on-site milling machine where your custom dental veneers are made.
Despite modern-day veneers being incredibly thin, they are also very durable meaning that they typically last 10-20 years. If you avoid damaging them or weakening them and exercise good levels of oral care, there is no reason why they shouldn’t last this long.
They are better in the sense that they provide longer-lasting protection (10-20 years as opposed to 3-10 years) but that all depends on your needs, requirements and of course budget. Our New Life Teeth cosmetic dentist will talk you through each procedure and discuss veneers cost to help you decide which is best for you.
In a word, no. A dental crown is used to cover the whole tooth in situations where the tooth is damaged or vulnerable like after a root canal. Whereas a dental veneer is designed to cover and protect only the front surface of a tooth rather than the whole tooth itself. If you dislike the appearance of your current dental crown, why not talk to one of our dental teams about replacing it.
Ideally, you should consider the size of the area you are looking to treat, the number of teeth you need to enhance and any lifestyle factors that may otherwise affect the longevity of your chosen restoration such as smoking. When you discuss these factors with our cosmetic dentist in either Belfast or Edinburgh it will help you to make the right choice.
